New Orleans’ Leading Barge Fleeting Facility

Two Strategic Locations. One Standard of Service.

Fleeting & Shifting

Harbor Towing & Fleeting operates two strategically positioned barge fleeting facilities in the Port of New Orleans. Star Fleet serves barge traffic on the Lower Mississippi River, while Star Fleet East provides convenient access along the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway.

Together, the facilities encompass 8,000 linear feet of fleeting space, giving tank barge, dry cargo, and heavy equipment customers access to reliable fleeting, staging, and marine support on two major New Orleans waterways.

Star Fleet
Lower Mississippi River | LMR MM 91 AHP RDB

Located at LMR MM91 AHP RDB, our fleet is conveniently located between Algiers Lock and Industrial Lock and encompasses 4000 linear feet. With 23 monopile mooring dolphins featuring our own robust mooring lines we can fleet 30-35 tank barges while leaving plenty of space for customer boats.

Our mooring dolphins are over engineered to provide safe mooring for loaded barges while withstanding the force of the river whether in high or low water conditions.

Star Fleet East
Gulf Intracoastal Waterway | MM 9–10

Star Fleet East, located between mile markers 9 and 10 east of Harvey Lock, the facility provides a convenient and secure location for fleeting, staging, and tow building in the Port of New Orleans.

Star Fleet East encompasses 4,000 linear feet and includes 20 monopile mooring dolphins. Each dolphin measures 54 inches in diameter and is positioned approximately 185 feet apart. A 470-foot center lane provides room for efficient tow building and vessel movement.
